Thomas Featherstone died from wounds on 21st March, 1915, after having been sent to a base hospital on the coast, but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded. The 2nd Gordon Highlanders battalion was part of 20 Brigade, 7th Division, that had seen action during the Battle of Neuve Chapelle earlier in the month.
